HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COALITIONS WORKSHOP

To provide free in-service training on issues of importance for human service workers. The coalition meets monthly from 9:30 – 11:30 on the first Wednesday of the month at the Cornell Cooperative Extension offices in Ballston Spa, New York. The coalition chooses training topics and presenters at the beginning of each program year, and The Prevention Council provides coordination for the program. Topics have included Meth 360, The Role of the District Attorney, Cyber 101 - A Parent's Guide to Internet Safety, and The Wisdom of Balance.

Accomplishments
Between 25 and 75 individuals participate in monthly trainings throughout the year. Participants include front-line workers from public and non-profit agencies, Head Start staff members, law enforcement officers, school personnel, parents and interested citizens.
