SERVICES & PROGRAMS

Research shows that young people are less likely to use substances when they receive consistent messages at home, at school, and in their communities. To that end, Prevention Council staff work in a wide range of venues – from schools and summer camps to courts and family homes. Our goal is not only to prevent experimentation by teens and pre-teens, but also to provide skills, guidance, and resources to adults who interact with young people.

Another service we provide is training and education for human service professionals. Whether for in-service credit or to keep up with current trends, the agency is committed to helping our colleagues see how prevention is relevant to the work they do every day.
