A model program created by the
Mendez Foundation, "Too Good for Drugs" is designed to teach
students about the scope of substance abuse. A prevention
educator brings in motivating classroom presentations that
incorporate the concepts of goal setting, decision making,
bonding with others, identifying and managing emotions, and
communicating effectively. Substance abuse information is
interwoven in the curriculum to reach students with an effective
message.
