Northeast New York Prevention Cooperative

The mission of the Northeast New York Prevention Cooperative is to build capacity among agencies, communities, and coalitions to provide effective prevention services for the people of 15 counties around the capital region of New York State. The coalition's prevention professionals meet in the Prevention Council conference room on the second Monday of each month to collaborate on prevention initiatives.

Past initiatives include prescription drug takeback events, Parents Who Host Lose the Most media campaigns, and Sticker Shock campaigns, in which SADD club members place stickers about the legal penalties for buying alcohol for minors on six-packs and cases of beer at regional retail stores.
