The Prevention Council hosted its 2nd annual gala at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga's beautiful Spa State Park on Monday, August 11, 2008. Guests of honor were the David Cassidy family -- David, his wife Sue and son Beau. David gave an unexpected and moving speech about his personal struggle with alcohol, and received a standing ovation from nearly 250 guests when he announced for the first time publicly that he has sought treatment for his addiction and is committed to sobriety.

Charles Hayward and Betsy Senior were Honorary Chairpersons for the event. We were very pleased to have their support, along the rest of the Honorary Committee and our generous sponsors.

Live music was by The Sarah Pedinotti Band.
