CLEAN & SOBER PARENTING
This program is designed to help parents rebuild trust, create structure and routine, and improve communication. "Clean and Sober Parenting" is a six-week educational program, designed primarily for people in recovery who are parents or caregivers to children and want to break unhealthy, discouraging patterns brought on by chemical abuse. It is also for people who work with recovering families, and anyone who is not abusing chemicals themselves but may be living with someone who is abusing substances while parenting their children.
This program covers such topics as setting limits and following through; establishing routines and structure; improving communication skills; understanding your children's behavior; nurturing ourselves and giving up shame and guilt. Specific curriculum units are below.
